Senior Front-end Engineer

Smart layers is a company that provides an intelligent document processing platform to its customers. We focus on SOA document understanding technologies such as NLP, Computer Vision, Graph learning, and similar techniques.

As a Front end Engineer, you will be responsible for building internal and external machine learning based products that deliver core value to our internal engineering teams and external clients. You will be developing specific front end to our central product that integrate traditional software engineering with scientific computing.

We DO NOT want people who:

• Just work through tickets
• Want step by step instructions on how to do their work
• Want to ship code and forget it
• Already know all the answers

What tech stack?

• We're more interested in problem-solvers than coders.
• We use mongo, python, FastAPI, and Vue.js in the front end.

What experience do I need to apply?

Professional experience writing code is required. Most of us on the team are generalists that gravitate more towards certain types of technology.

What we look for:

• 3+ years using any SPA framework,
• Experience with html, CSS, javascript, deep knowledge of Web specifications and APIs
• Desire to learn and solve problems no matter the technology
